A baby wipe with preservative is the best option for your baby’s safe cleaning routine. These avoids bacterial and mould growth. However, care should be taken to not use wipes with overflowing preservative amount as it might cause allergic reactions.

Several baby wipes contain alcohol in different forms. Though alcohol might produce effective cleaning properties, they are never safe for your baby’s skin. Using wipes with less alcohol content or alcohol in other forms like phenoxyethanol or benzyl are somewhat safe.

As a newly mother, you know how breastfeeding enhances your baby’s immune system. It prevents the newborn from several diseases including allergies, and infections. But what if the mother is sick? Can the milk prevent the baby from getting infected with the disease of the breastfeeding mother? Well, breastfeeding does prevent your baby from getting sick up to some extent.

If a mother is suffering from a cold and flu, breastfeeding is commonly continued. The infant receives the antibodies produced in mother’s body to fight the illness. However, the road is not safe all the time. Sometimes, breastfeeding can become dangerous when the illness can pose a higher risk to baby’s delicate metabolic system.

In certain cases, illness can impact the process of breastfeeding. There might be occurrences of changes in mother’s bodies. These include:

  • Change in the color of the milk
  • Low or delayed milk supply
  • Decreased or increased feedings
  • Sore nipples
  • Fussy baby at the breast
  • Increased sensitivity

If you are ill, you can recover the flow of milk by breastfeeding more often as it will urge your body to produce more milk.

Never leave your newborn or toddler unattended for a minute even:

A newborn or toddler can drown in even an inch of water and can slip easily. Make sure you give 100% attention while bathing the baby.

Make your that the temperature in the bathroom is warm enough:

Babies are prone to get cold easily so you must make sure they don’t get hit by cool breezes right after the bath.

Don’t put the baby in the tub without checking water temperature:

A little warm or cold for us can be too warm or too cold for a baby. The skin of a baby is very sensitive so make sure to check the water temperature before putting the baby in it.

Avoid bubble bath:

You should avoid bubble bath as it can infect the urinary tract of the baby and can also cause more chances of baby slipping. Bath the baby slowly.

Low carb diet is very popular when it comes to our fitness regime and losing weight. But the problem arises when you are pregnant. Is it safe to continue with low carb diet? The answer is usually yes. However, one should not be dependent on low carbs during pregnancy. It is, after all, a stage when you require more strength, not the urge of losing weight.

Low carb is safe during pregnancy if you are consuming healthy carbs in order to match your nutritional needs. Some foods that are extremely low-carb are not safe during this period. Without sufficient amount of carbohydrates in our body, your body starts producing ketones. These can put your infant at a risk of brain damage. Such is the severity of carb shortage that one should never rely on diets that contain no carbohydrates.

If you still persist on the habit of having low-carb diets, it is best to consult doctors. They can suggest good and modified low-carb diets.

In a nutshell, if you are cutting sugars and processed foods out of your diet, it is ok. But if you are eating only pork or bacon all day, you need to add some potatoes for getting carbs.

As a newly mother, you know how breastfeeding enhances your baby’s immune system. It prevents the newborn from several diseases including allergies, and infections. But what if the mother is sick? Can the milk prevent the baby from getting infected with the disease of the breastfeeding mother? Well, breastfeeding does prevent your baby from getting sick up to some extent.

If a mother is suffering from a cold and flu, breastfeeding is commonly continued. The infant receives the antibodies produced in mother’s body to fight the illness. However, the road is not safe all the time. Sometimes, breastfeeding can become dangerous when the illness can pose a higher risk to baby’s delicate metabolic system.

In certain cases, illness can impact the process of breastfeeding. There might be occurrences of changes in mother’s bodies. These include:

  • Change in the color of the milk
  • Low or delayed milk supply
  • Decreased or increased feedings
  • Sore nipples
  • Fussy baby at the breast
  • Increased sensitivity

If you are ill, you can recover the flow of milk by breastfeeding more often as it will urge your body to produce more milk.

This is basically the breastbone angling backward, not a hollow part. Hence there’s nothing to be worried about.

Hiccups:

Constant hiccupping might seem harmful but are normal and harmless.

Crying:

Crying is the only way through which babies communicate during the first few months. Though you should tend to the problem as soon as observing your baby cry, it is not a stressful concern.

Never leave your newborn or toddler unattended for a minute even:

A newborn or toddler can drown in even an inch of water and can slip easily. Make sure you give 100% attention while bathing the baby.

Make your that the temperature in the bathroom is warm enough:

Babies are prone to get cold easily so you must make sure they don’t get hit by cool breezes right after the bath.

Don’t put the baby in the tub without checking water temperature:

A little warm or cold for us can be too warm or too cold for a baby. The skin of a baby is very sensitive so make sure to check the water temperature before putting the baby in it.

Avoid bubble bath:

You should avoid bubble bath as it can infect the urinary tract of the baby and can also cause more chances of baby slipping. Bath the baby slowly.

Make the bathtub safe:

Making use of rubber bath mats will avoid the chances of slipping, making your bathtub more secure.

Low carb diet is very popular when it comes to our fitness regime and losing weight. But the problem arises when you are pregnant. Is it safe to continue with low carb diet? The answer is usually yes. However, one should not be dependent on low carbs during pregnancy. It is, after all, a stage when you require more strength, not the urge of losing weight.

Low carb is safe during pregnancy if you are consuming healthy carbs in order to match your nutritional needs. Some foods that are extremely low-carb are not safe during this period. Without sufficient amount of carbohydrates in our body, your body starts producing ketones. These can put your infant at a risk of brain damage. Such is the severity of carb shortage that one should never rely on diets that contain no carbohydrates.

If you still persist on the habit of having low-carb diets, it is best to consult doctors. They can suggest good and modified low-carb diets.

In a nutshell, if you are cutting sugars and processed foods out of your diet, it is ok. But if you are eating only pork or bacon all day, you need to add some potatoes for getting carbs.
