The best dogs for you if you’re stressed out

If you’re stressed out, science says that the solution might be getting a pet. Pet owners have been shown to have lower blood pressure and heart rates, and are better able to recover from stresses than those who don’t have pets. Read on for some great calming canines.

French Bulldog

Just looking at their darling squishy faces is enough to make you feel less anxious. But their personalities are perfect for the stressed, too.

They are even-tempered, adaptable and amenable, so you can just snuggle your stress away.

Golden or Labrador Retrievers

These gorgeous dogs always seem to be happy, and are often placid, but are also very playful. They are excellent animals for emotional support and are the most popular dogs for therapy, guide, and rescue work.

Greyhounds

Many greyhounds are rescued from racetracks. Although they can run fast, they love to lie around. They have lovely smooth coats, and sweet, gentle personalities. They’re excellent companions, and hardly ever bark, which is a bonus.

Famous as Queen Elizabeth II’s dogs, corgis are wonderful companion dogs that bond quickly with their humans, but avoid being needy. They make for loyal and obedient friends.
