Being a parent is a full-time job. Like with any other job, the key is to work smarter, not harder. Once children reach a certain age, they want to help! Instilling into children at a young age the importance of cleaning is beneficial to the parent and to them in the long run. Children are never too young to learn!

The cleaning list can be long, but there are some jobs that children really get a kick out of doing! Pass the torch to your young ones and let them lend you a helping hand with some of these easy cleaning jobs.

Vacuuming can be fun for any age. For younger children, have them use a lightweight vacuum to go over hardwood floors and/or tile. Older children can throw on some headphones with their favorite music and knock out all of the carpeted areas.

Dusting with tools like a Swiffer or feather duster can be really fun and easy for children. They’ll be amazed at the dust they pick up and that visual lets them know that they’re doing a great job.
