Snacks are not restricted to chips, pretzels, and cookies. You can have healthy snacks that help keep you healthy and fit. It is not a bad idea to enjoy sweet treats occasionally, but you should eat more healthy snacks.

Apple and almond

Apples are sweet and have soluble fiber. This lowers cholesterol and blood sugar. When eaten with nuts like almonds, it adds some protein and healthy fat. One apple and a handful of almonds are ideal.

Pistachio nuts

This snack offers a high potassium content but doesn’t have a lot of calories. It is fun to eat and is rich in fiber and protein too.

Cottage cheese and strawberries

Cottage cheese has lots of protein, equivalent to two ounces of meat. When you add fresh fruit to this mix, it becomes a tasty snack. You can add cinnamon for flavor. ½ cup of cottage cheese and one cup of sliced strawberries is sufficient for this recipe.

Peanut butter and rice cake

You can enjoy this tasty snack without worrying about calories. Also, if you don’t like peanut butter, you can opt for sunflower butter which is made from sunflower seed. You can also try cashew, almond or walnut butter if you want variety. To make it even sweeter, add four slices of banana.
