As a parent, no one likes watching his or her child sad. The moment you witness tears in the eyes of your child, your mind starts searching for the right words to make him or her smile.

As a parent, we desperately search for that magical sentence that might turn our child’s tears into smiles. However, words cannot describe the love some gestures can.

Through physical and emotional warmth, you can easily comfort your child without uttering a word. Here are a few ways to do that.

These can reassure your child that his world is safe and wonderful.

Snuggle and cuddle your child

Holding your child into a snuggle will provide him warmth and will relax his mind, silently telling him that everything is alright.

Increase the warmth of the room

Turning up the temperature has proven to provide satisfaction to children’s brain. You can increase warmth by turning on the thermostat or lighting up the fire to provide a cozy atmosphere to your child

Serve him hot chocolate

Though this might seem a health hazard, giving chocolate to your child could affect his behavior. You can also alternate chocolate with his favorite candy or dish.
