Carrots are healthy and have lots of benefits for adults. Babies are not left out; they can also benefit from this rich vegetable. However, only babies above six months can eat carrots in any form.

Some benefits for babies include:

Carrots are rich in vitamins as well as many other nutrients. It supports various body functions. Some include the eyes, circulatory system, immunity boosting and more.

The eyes benefit from this through the beta-carotene found in carrots. It is a precursor to vitamin A, and it promotes a healthy retina.

It also promotes a healthy circulatory system when flavonoids it contains makes the heart happy. The blood vessels are also kept in check. Carrots are good for your baby’s kidneys as it filters the toxins out of the blood.

A growing baby needs a healthy immune system. Carrots increase the lymphocytes in the body as well as the platelets. These cells help promote immunity.

Recipe for carrot puree

Ingredients:

  • Six to seven cups of water
  • Three to four cups of chopped carrots

Method:

  • Start with boiling the carrots in a pot or pressure cooker until they become tender.
  • Transfer the carrot and water into a blender and then blend until it reaches your preference.
