If you’re a single parent, you know all about just how hard it can be. But there are some great benefits to being a solo parent. Read on for a few of them …
Getting to know you
As a single parent, you have got to know your children very well. You doubtless have a strong connection, and can even tell what they’re thinking.
Likewise, they probably know what every look on your face means. This is the closeness that single parenting can develop.
It’s just you and me
What I find so great about being a single parent is that I don’t have to ask anyone else if a dinner date suits them, and I don’t have to coordinate my every move with another adult. Instead, it’s just me and the kids.
Us time
Because my children live in two homes, the make sure the time I get to spend with my children is precious quality time.
You get time off
If the kids are at their other parent’s home, you get a bit of time to yourself. Don’t be guilty about it. Enjoy this time to refresh and rejuvenate.
