If you are pregnant with twins, the whole world suddenly becomes full of advisers explaining you all the details, even though most people don’t have twins themselves. This is why there are some things that no one will tell you. Here are a few things you should know:

Your pregnancy will be different (and probably more difficult)

Having two babies in your stomach instead of one will surely make things more difficult, maybe not twice as painful, but certainly more. For example, heartburn and joint pain are worse when you’re carrying multiples.

It’s more than double the work

Having twins makes everything exponentially more difficult. The amount of time and work that twins require might surprise you.

Bonding doesn’t always come as easily

Many people think that the bonding happens automatically with the baby’s birth, but it’s not true. You need some time to get connected with your child, and when you have twins, it’s harder to make a connection with each child separately.

They have their own identities

Twins may sometimes be identical, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that their personalities are identical as well. You must dedicate your time to the personality of each kid and respect their differences.
