If a child swears, you can tell them that that sort of language is not permitted in your house. If they don’t comply with your requests, take them home or call their parents to fetch them.
If you are at a fine dining establishment and there are children present, they’ll probably have been taught how to behave. If they transgress the rules, then the restaurant will take action.
If you’re at a family restaurant, go to a quiet booth away from the crowds of noisy kids. If you’re still bothered, ask discreetly to be moved.
If you’re bothered by unruly kids at the mall or grocery store, try to feel empathy for the parents. They’re probably more embarrassed and irritated than you, so don’t say anything.
